1. Agreement
By creating an account on Hiresling.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Hiresling.ai is operated by 42labs OÜ, registered in Estonia (EU).
2. What hiresling does
hiresling is an AI-powered job outreach platform. It helps you discover companies, tailor your resume, draft personalized emails, and send them from your Gmail account. You review and approve every email before it is sent.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a valid Google account and authorize Gmail sending.
- Access may be limited at our discretion — for example during a closed beta or while we manage capacity. Eligible users are admitted as access opens.
4. Your account
Your account is linked to your Google profile. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You may not share your account or let others use it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings — all your data will be purged as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Subscriptions and payments
hiresling is a paid subscription service. Payments are processed by Polar (our Merchant of Record), who handles billing, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks on our behalf. By subscribing, you also agree to Polar's terms of service.
- Subscriptions run in monthly periods and do not renew automatically — each period must be actively renewed before it ends, and we show a renewal reminder in-app as your current period nears its end. Each tier includes daily and monthly email limits, per-tier budgets for AI-assistance features (setup tools and per-draft revisions), and a monthly AI capacity budget. Current limits are described on the Pricing page and surfaced in-app.
- You may change your tier or cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refund requests are handled by Polar according to their refund policy.
- If your subscription lapses, your account remains but sending is disabled until you resubscribe. If your account remains inactive for 30 days after lapse, your data is permanently deleted. You will be notified by email before deletion.
6. Your responsibilities and your role as data controller
Outreach emails are sent from your Gmail account, not from hiresling. You are the sender. Under GDPR Art. 4(7), you are the controller of the personal data you instruct hiresling to process to contact recipients on your behalf — recipient name, work email, and job title. We act as your processor under Art. 28 on your documented instructions.
Your instructions to us are layered: the targeting preferences you set during onboarding (role, industry, seniority, geography, compensation band) are your standing documented instructions; your per-draft approval in the review queue is your in-line affirmation of each individual outreach. Until you approve a draft, no email is sent.
Contact-discovery tooling (e.g. our third-party contact-data provider) determines the technical means of locating candidate recipients within your targeting parameters. You determine the purposes — who you want to contact, why, and for what role. Discovery output flows directly into your review queue. Where no individual contact is found, the tooling may derive a generic role-based business address for the organization (validated by DNS); your controller obligations below — including the Art. 14 first-contact notice and opt-out handling — apply equally to such recipients. Hiresling does not maintain a shared contact database that pools recipients across users; recipient records are isolated to your account and are deleted when you delete your account.
Because you are the controller of recipient data, these obligations are yours:
- Comply with anti-spam and data-protection law when sending outreach — including CAN-SPAM §5 (US), GDPR (EU/EEA, where applicable), UK GDPR + PECR, LGPD (Brazil), and any other jurisdiction your recipient sits in.
- First-contact notice (GDPR Art. 14). If you are contacting recipients located in the EU/EEA, you are responsible for providing the Art. 14 notice (identity, purposes, source of the data, retention, rights). The fact that hiresling discovered the contact for you does not shift this obligation; you remain the controller.
- Honor opt-out and objection requests. Every outbound email includes a deterministic line inviting recipients to decline further contact. If a recipient declines — by reply, by formal objection under GDPR Art. 21, or by any other means — block that contact in your dashboard. Failure to do so may result in account suspension.
- Review every draft before approving. Hiresling generates drafts; you decide what gets sent.
- Do not use hiresling for spam, harassment, fraud, phishing, or any illegal purpose.
- Do not attempt to send emails to contacts who have opted out, been blocked, or explicitly declined communication.
- Your resume must be truthful. Hiresling reorders your content but never fabricates information. You are responsible for the accuracy of your resume.
Our security obligations as processor (Art. 32) are described in §9. Sub-processors we rely on to provide the service are listed in our Privacy Policy §6.
7. AI-generated content
hiresling uses AI to draft emails and parse resumes. AI-generated content may contain errors, inappropriate phrasing, or inaccurate information. You must review all AI-generated content before approving it. hiresling is not responsible for the content of emails you approve and send.
AI features are subject to per-tier usage limits set by your subscription. Limits may be technical (caps on actions per period or per draft), operational (capacity-based throttling), or budgetary (monthly AI capacity allowance per user). Current limits are described on the Pricing page and surfaced in-app when you approach them.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use hiresling to send bulk unsolicited commercial email (spam)
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful files
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use hiresling for any purpose other than personal job outreach
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
9. Intellectual property
- Your content: You own your resume, preferences, and data. You grant hiresling a limited license to process it for the purpose of delivering the service.
- Our platform: hiresling's code, design, brand, and AI models are our intellectual property (or licensed to us). You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them.
- AI-generated emails: Emails drafted by hiresling are generated for your use. Once sent, you own the content.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. hiresling may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We do not offer SLAs or uptime guarantees.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- hiresling is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that emails will be delivered, opened, or receive responses.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the service, including but not limited to: lost opportunities, reputational harm, email delivery failures, or consequences of AI-generated content.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for your compliance with anti-spam laws. You are the sender; you bear that responsibility.
12. Suspension and termination
- By you: Cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time in Settings.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or fail to honor opt-out requests. We will notify you by email when possible.
- Upon termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you on your next login. For material changes, we will ask you to re-consent. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of hiresling will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Harju County, Estonia.
